Deuteronomy 6:5-7
Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Stairs...and freaked out mommy!
So, I am sitting in our office, reading emails, and Joe heads up stairs to change. I look over at our stairs and Madison is halfway up the first set. I screamed, jumped up, and ran to her. She laughed hysterically...as she thought I was playing with her...really I was terrified that she would fall and hit the hardwood floor below her. Nope...she kept on climbing...and made it all the way to the top...where there is...a gate. What a marvelous idea a gate would have been at the bottom! So, our sweet little girl, who refuses to walk, can climb stairs. She is SO good about it, though, because we have taught her NOT to climb unless we are with her. She literally sits at the bottom and points up and waits for us to say yes or no. She does not enjoy "no," but she listens...so, she climbs herself upstairs for naps and bedtime.
July 27th.
